Cargofer is a private limited company with full private capital, founded in 2000 to realize and develop a railways terminal for handling of goods and supply of services in the respect of enviromnent. The terminal is located in Bondeno, in the province of Ferrara, and it is linked with the FER's electrified railway on the line Ferrara-Suzzara. Its geographical location and easy access, thank to the realisation of the regional highway Cispadana, increase the potential of this logistic platform. In a phase of development of intermodality at international level, the aim of Cargofer is that of developing projects in collaboration with local and regional logistic infrastructure.
Its total area is 200.000 fenced and lighted square meters wide. The covered area is 11.500 square meters wide. The terminal has 3.500 meters rails with two rails for arrivals and departures of 750 meters. The walls for stopping of the warehouse are designed to contain loose materials, like sand, clay or similar and/or other materials, substances or goods. As the rails enter in the warehouse it is possible to load and unload materials in every climatic condition.
